For the price it ticks a lot of boxes. I rate this very highly for the light hobby cyclist use that I need. As an example15 mile trip today, some country road and some A road. Some steep and gentle hills. Coped very well and the gears are easy to use. Excellent compromise bike with the front and seat suspension for comfort and the lighter tyres and frame than a mountain bike. Very comfortable riding position.
A little bit heavier than is ideal. Some extras would be nice, eg a stand and computer. these are addable though and the Carrera Crossfire 1000 has many extras and is a lot more money!
Highly recommend this bike for a good all round introductory bike that does not cost a fortune.
