Good Points

Build quality, slim (especially with slimline battery), good battery life, very clear and legible screen.

Bad Points

Slow, menuing can be confusing at times.

General Comments

I've had a few WAP phones (Sagem 930, Sony J5, Trium @ Geo) but this is by far the best. The build quality is superb, there's a decent-sized key panel and the keys have really positive clicks. I particularly like the pulldown menuing system and the screen is very evenly and properly backlit - unlike most other phones which use tacky sidelit LED devices.

OK the phone is a bit large but makes up for it with being only 12mm thick (I'm using the slimline battery). The battery information is very informative ie standby time and talk time and appears to be very accurate.

WAP configuration is relatively easy to set up and there are options for 5 alternative providers. The phone has an infrared port (unusually for the price!) and works fine in conjunction with my Handspring and laptop.

Overall, a superb mobile phone. Why did Ericsson stop making it? OK the R520 replaced it but at a cost in weight and thickness. And who needs GPRS?

Who needs GPRS? As a man who uses his laptop in conjunction with a handspring and a laptop I am sure that you could benefit from download speed 4 to 5 times faster than you currently enjoy, could you not? And does it not bug you to pay for your time on line by the second, when you could be paying for the volume of data that you download? The R320 was a nice neat little phone, but with all of the exciting emergant technology out there, Sony Ericsson had to shed the dated dead wood, thus leaving them free to develope new equipment like the T series and the soon to arrive R series handsets.
If you didn't like the OS (menu) on the phone try the T68, I think you could be in for a treat!
