It sounds like something is wrong with the gun, i have been shooting mine a long time and it has not lost power. I hunt squirrel and bird with a 4 year old 66powermater extremely effectively. I would try to oil the piston heavily if the gun is out of warranty, shoot some cleaning pellets through it afterwards.
