Appearance and style, red hot performance, ultra-low weight, super-compact dimensions. And those BRAKES!
Stupid screen which blocks view of speedo! Why do they not fit double-bubbles?
I've had allsorts from 250's to 1300's and this Honda CBR600RR7 is just about the perfect all-round bike for typical bike-riding in the UK. Fantastic performance, sweet sounding engine, and amazing handling. Much more comfortable than the other 600's, but ultimately, any sport-seat is gonna numb yer bum soon enough.
I'm 50yr old, a tad overweight and 5'10" and this bike doesn't make hurt my back, legs or wrists. A bit heavy on the palms of your hands after a days riding, but what else can you expect?
The standard screen is a damn joke! I seem to remember the TT600 was the same - you can't read the panel instruments unless you crouch down. I changed mine to an Airblade Double-Bubble for £40. Also fitted a pair of those R&G Aero crash bobbins - no need to cut the fairing! Well worth the £100. Only other things to go on will be a Cat-1 alarm and a gear indicator.
On the motorway at 80 it feels like you're still in 3rd gear when you're actually in 6th, but its revving at 7000rpm so there's still another 8,000 to go. You soon get used to that though.
So, all in all I love the bike. Its a LOT of fun. Only downside is, the roads aren't long enough between junctions.
