I found rude and unpleasent staff. No one smiles in the store. Would never shop again there. Beaverbrooks is way better.
With three days to go for my wife's birthday and not having much time to shop around, i popped into EJ store at the Gyle, Edinburgh. I mentioned i would like to get the right size if possible but the only ring i liked they didn't have, ready to walk out, i was persuaded to take it and return back and they'll change it. The reason they dont have it in other sizes because of store policy they only hold one size for each ring.
After the birthday i returned with the ring and was then told the ring size is not available and they'll check other stores. 2 weeks had gone by and not heard back. Paid another visit and was then told it's not available is the required size. The reason they never got in touch with me was the phones were down (for two weeks!!!). I then asked for a refund but was refused because i didn't have the Insurance Card on hand, i was never told i required it before. It does not state anywhere in the T&C the card must be returned with the Receipt.
I went back the following day with the card and was then told they can't give me a refund because of a mark on the ring. By now i was so frustrated with the service.
They are quick at taking your money, but when it comes to refunding, you're on your own. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
Their customer service is appalling in my opinion.
I'm now left with a £350 ring that doesn't fit.
I'm complaining to the head office and hope this matter will be solved.
