United Airlines web site; I experienced poorly informed and unhelpful customer service/reservations agents; phone numbers that don't work
Flight 1569 from Washington Dulles to Orlando was scheduled to leave at 9:50 p.m. But get this, there were no pilots to fly the plane! They told the passengers this after they had already boarded the plane. Everyone gets off the plane and passengers are told that the pilots are in New York but they don't know when they will get to Dulles. The flight is scheduled to leave at 1030. 1030 becomes 1130. When I called the United 800 number, I got two agents who could only tell me what was on the computer (also on the web site). I couldn't seem to get any specific information about the flight status.
I found that trying to get phone numbers on the United web site was difficult. I did get two phone numbers for United at Dulles from the agents but neither worked when I tried them.
My frustration level was beyond high. We will not fly United again.
