Good Points

Flight attendants helpful. Planes clean and on time. Good airline if you are flying non-stop and pre-booked well in advance.


Bad Points

If you have interconnecting flights with other airlines, or have any short term change to itinerary, be prepared for a very frustrating experience. Food inconsistent - sometimes good sometimes bad.


General Comments

Flight crew very professional and courteous, planes very clean,but their booking system is convoluted and both their New York office and ticket personnel in Zurich had a very difficult time issuing tickets when we added a change to our itinerary (1 week before flight) - we've made similar changes with US airlines and change is made in a matter of seconds - with Swiss it took around 15 phone calls and 45 minutes at ticket counter (and a lecture from lady at ticket counter). Also, I spent $26,000 on round trip business class tickets for my family and I from Houston to Nice through Zurich, but on the return flight, they would not let us in the Swiss Lounge for business class passenger's in New York because the last leg of our flight was on Continental (first class) and they said the lounge was only for passenger's departing on a Swiss air plane (even though we had bought the tickets through Swiss) - I don't really care about that, but other airlines fall over backwards for me when I spend that kind of money. I've used many airlines for flights to Europe, this was my second, and last one, on Swiss.
