Bad Points
Poor service all round: head office, telephone and branches. Complaining is pointless because they always favour their own staff over customers.
General Comments
As well as poor service from head office, telephone banking and branch staff, the complaints department are not helpful. They support their own staff over customers. A recent complaint pointed out this site and is's poor reviews, and suddenly there is a guest rating them highly. Coincidence or what? Being able to handle one's finances has no bearing on inept, rude and incompetent staff who jointly and severally manage to make a mess of someone's banking without the involvement of that person whatsoever. This is my personal experience of Halifax, and it is not getting any better.
