Its a work horse. It has a fax delay feature, and it will reattempt twice if the receiving fax is busy. The newer models only attempt once. Sufficient memory for storing incoming faxes if you run out of paper. Telephone receiver. Simple set up and maintenance.
Bad Points
Locating the LC21 ink cartridges at office supply stores. Mainly Staples carries it, but not at every store.
General Comments
The newer machines are nice. I like the 1820c the best. I mainly send and receive black and white copies. I like the option of color if I want to copy photos. I print the photo from my computer and make additional copies on my fax machine. This is a replacement machine. The other exact model had a major failure about five years ago and it was replaced by Brother. I had the other unit for 1 1/2 years before it died. I upgraded to a fax/scanner with no telephone receiver at my office, and brought the 1820c home.
