I was about to take out a Norwich Union travel insurance policy until I discovered that they exclude all claims regarding Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT). It is hidden in the Key Facts document. I do not have any history of DVT. However, what good is this policy if I flew to say Mexico on a 13hr flight and had DVT? Not something anyone would relish! Beware, read all the policy documents and Key Facts, however boring.
