General Comments

This Maytag MTW6700TQ Bravos Washer has a sensor that determines the amount of water that should be used for the amount of clothes added. I have the see through lid so can watch the wash. The water level does not cover the clothes. When I add a large load, the top layer of clothes just move around on the top and do not mix in with the rest. The dark clothes have to have 2 or 3 additional rinses to get the residue out. If I am noticing it in the dark clothes, then it is in the lighter clothes as well. My husband washed his jeans that had soil on the knees from gardening and it didn't come out.

I have called Maytag and a repairman came out. I was told the water level is normal and I am NOT using too much soap so as far as I'm concerned, this washer is poor. It may be trying to save energy but when I have to keep rewashing, how does that save energy?
I called Maytag again and as far as they are concerned, there is nothing wrong with the machine so it's back to the store we go and I will never recommend this machine to anyone.

I found this review helpful because... it is correct! I was finally told by our local Maytag repairman (who is terrific and has tried every fix Maytag has to offer) that there is no load size sensor! Once they fixed the impeller issues I too have knotted and destroyed clothing!

Now I am dealing with Whirlpool (the new Maytag owners) to see what they will do for me. Way too much money for such work and no one at Whirlpool returns calls.
