Good Stock list.
Totally unhelpfull when things go wrong.
Has an awful internal system.
I order the special edition of Metal Gear Solid 4, OVER A MONTH before its UK release in the hopes on getting my hands on a copy. The day of release finally came and went. I waited all day for the game to arrive but no Luck. So I waited again the next day for the games arrival and once again, no luck.
I called Play.com to enquire about the game, and they told me there was something wrong with my order and that I would have to verify the three digit saftey pin on my card with them, which I did, and low and behold it was fine and correct.
They went on to tell me that they no longer had the poduct in stock and so it is uncertain I may get a copy, even though I ordered this game OVER A MONTH in advance. They used the excuse of an email (which I don't recall reading) that stated that was apparently sent on the day of purchase.
I generally use Amazon.co.uk's service frequently among many other online retailers. Not once have I had to reconfirm any details given when purchasing (isn't that the reason we all use the internet, ease of use...).
I was told by advised to get the game elsewhere. This is difficult as it is exclusive to Play.com with the only other alternative being a second hand copy at an extortionate price (which ultimately defeats the whole purpose).
I WOULD NOT recommend them in the slightest, they have totally ruined any confidence I once had in them.
The bottom line is simply.
AVOID PLAY.COM use Amazon.co.uk instead.
