Appears to be a very inexpensive service
Failed uploads in my experience and I am not happy with the connection
On the evening of Sunday 15th June, I signed up to Photobox so I could get some of my digital photos printed. I could not upload via the website (kept getting the message "upload failed", with no further details), so uploaded via the FTP service they offer. FTP worked perfectly and my FTP client confirmed that the pictures were in the "temporary" album. However, the pictures were not viewable via the website it seems (prints cannot be ordered until the pictures can be viewed on the website)
Photobox's help pages do say that "Images should appear within your account within a couple of minutes of the upload completing although when our upload servers are busy it may take longer for images to appear.", so I left it an hour before sending an email to them for them to investigate - that was 10.20pm on Sunday 15th June.
As at today's date (lunchtime on Wednesday 18th June), the photos are still not viewable via the website, and I have had no response to my email - except an automated "incident ID" email - despite followup emails. I've tried ringing Photobox today, but there was no answer, the phone just rang and rang.
Most unsatisfactory - and not good for a brand new customer. So I think I'll be closing my account and not bothering with Photobox at all (thought apparently, to close your account you have to send an email to them..)
