Good Points

Everything about this hotel is fantastic, I have just returned from a two week holiday in June 2008 and I would highly recommend this hotel, Food is excellent, there is so much choice, Chinese was my favourite , We have two children aged 3 & 5 and they loved it, always things to do if they want to, animation team work so hard and are always making sure you know what's on , but don't hassle you if you don't want to join in. all the staff are so friendly and make you feel really welcome. Well done Rhodos Maris , we will be coming back.

Bad Points

If you want a sun bed and brolly around the main pool then expect to get up about 6am! We didn't bother and went to the beach mostly where we always managed to get sunbeds. There is another people which people didn't seem to know about which is next to the Chinese and there were always free sunbeds there!

There are no tea/coffee facilities in the room, which is think is quite normal for Greece (its only us English that expect our tea first thing) I would take a travel kettle next time.

General Comments

Please do not be put off by the bad reviews of this hotel. I knew before I went that 5 star in Greece was not going to be like a 5 star in England, but even so I think it is of a very high standard. Fresh towels and beds made every day, the maid would even arrange my sons teddy bears on his bed which always made him laugh each day when we got back to our room.

We hadn't paid for anything but the basic room and were very pleasantly surprised to have a maisonette/bungalow room right on the sea front and it was spectacular!

Would recommend buying the beach shoes which you can get from the hotel shop fairly cheaply, as the beach is a bit stony but lovely all the same, the two staff that run the beach bar are great and always so happy.

It is a very large complex and I would suggest that it may not suit those with mobility problems, there are quite a lot of steps too, but none of these were a problem for us, and I did see people in wheel chairs who seemed to manage.

Have a great time if you are going there!
