Good Points

The top cover easily comes off, leaving a clean work area.
The cord between the scanner and the computer is basically a printer cord extension cable. This makes it possible to attach the printer and scanner cord to each other.


Bad Points

Its noisy, slow and the image quality is terrible.


General Comments

i can do better with a cheap hand-scanner. Ive never been so disappointed with a peice of hardware. I took it apart, only to find that the bushings that the scanner slides on were nearly unlubricated. I oiled them and the rod and it got slightly quieter, and the image got slightly better. I havent torn down the electric motor yet, but if that doesn't help at least i'll be left with a really neat neon light.
