Good Points

If you don't have to claim they seem like they will be great.


Bad Points

They make it as hard as possible to claim.


General Comments

I attempted to make a claim today and was told that it could take up to 2 weeks to authorize! You have to take a letter that they send to you to your doctor who then has to complete it confirming that its not pre-existing etc. The doctors send it back and then Pruhealth underwriters have to look at the claim to approve it before they will authorize treatment. Apparently this is the case for any new conditions claim. I always thought the point of private health insurance was quick treatment. It does not appear you get this with pruhealth. I was never told about this process when I took the policy out. I was with BUPA before and never had any problems. Will be returning to BUPA as soon as possible as I want cover for when I ' m injured or ill not fit and healthy...
