“What is going on with hotmail lately? We can't even...”

What is going on with hotmail lately? We can't even access it anymore! I have just spent twenty minutes trying to bring up the website on my computer, to no avail. We've been happy with it, but we'll change if we can't send or receive emails.

I have forgotten password and tried to get into email to get new one but have to have forgotten secret word to access email and can't. Instructions are unhelpful I find!
