General Comments
Had my Land Rover Discovery since new, 5th August 1992, and not once let me down, have traveled across Spain in it, even through the Alps in winter, its never once got into a situation it cant get itself out of, with a sensible driving foot it is capable of 40mpg (Tdi). as long as you maintain the car with regular oil checks it will keep on going. On road comfort is great, maybe a bit of lean on the corners, but what can be expected of a tall 4x4. Treat it well, and it will treat you well.
