PAYG phones not locked. Good prices of some PAYG phones.
Faulty phones can be returned only within 21 days after purchase.
I bought a PAYG Nokia in Carphone Warehouse which I liked a lot. Unfortunately it was faulty so I asked for a replacement. I got it after about a week but it had the same problems as the first one. I asked for another replacement but this took more than a month. I was told they ran out of this particular model and were waiting for more stock to come.
So eventually I got the third phone and I noticed it was refurbished, not brand new. Moreover, it was faulty as well - the same fault, it used to freeze when it rang or received a text.
At this stage I decided I didn't want the phone an more, since the only replacements CW were offering were refurbished phones. I paid for a brand new phone, not for a refurbished one! Unfortunately I was told I cannot get a refund because it was longer than 21 days since I purchased the phone. They didn't care about the fact that I couldn't use the phone I paid for for almost 2 months.
So I got the fourth phone (refurbished again, with some light scratches on its cover) and now I'm hoping it won't get wrong.
I was told this mobile, same as other refurbished, are customer returns. Customers had reasons for returning them. So the chance their reason was the same as mine is quite high. I bet phones I returned have new software loaded and were given to other unhappy CW's customers.
