Brilliant ride handles well and is very comfortable, great brakes not bad weather protection.
Bad Points
Reliability, build quality. Three disc brakes replaced in the years, electrical problems, and corrosion abound, BMW reply because I use it every day, obviously designed for fine weather, oh well won't buy another one.
General Comments
The BMW R1200GS is a great bike when its behaving itself but out of all the bikes I've owned this has been the most trouble, but having had major back surgery I find I can ride it OK, I do ride just about every day so maybe thats the problem, also for off road jaunts its good but a tad heavy, anyway I hope this is helpful.
