I got a letter stating that my 8 grand loan was accepted by their underwriters and to send in my £49 (wasn't mentioned on the phone) along with the 'loan approval form'. Never heard eanything back for weeks.
I started chasing it and ended up dealing with 2 other companies. The last one told said 'yes we have found you a loan for 4 grand subject to their criteria. I cancelled at this point and called Wentorth wanting my £49 back. Was told that a form would be sent out to me to claim it. That was about 3 weeks ago. I just called again and demanded my money back and was told that I had to 'write in'. I called Trading Standards. I was told that I have to send them a recorded letter quoting the consumer credit act and demand the return of my money. They have now logged the case.
