Good Points
Excellent food. Good size portions and plenty of choice. All cooked to order so you may have to wait but that's how it should be. Guest ales are a regular feature and beer is served at the perfect temperature.
Bad Points
Hardly any but perhaps the choice of radio station played could be better.
General Comments
Overall The Butchers Arms is a great place to be. Often has pensioners in at lunchtimes so it must be good! Walking parties often stop of here but I think they appreciate a call before large parties arrive to help cater. Don't be put of either by the welcome you get from the fellow behind the bar. Can appear a little cool towards customers at first but he really is good at the job and very friendly in reality. The chef has a lively approach to customers and always tries to please and will listen to special requirements if needed. All in all a great traditional pub where you don't feel out of place no matter what.
