Good Points

The gun is rock solid, no wobbles or creeks at all, its mostly metal with only the front grip, pistol grip, and stock being made of very nice quality plastic. another nice feature is the hop up chamber, where as most m4 hop/units are accessed using the charging handle(and nearly always break)on the xm the dust cover is simply held in place by a magnetic catch(in my view a much better idea), one last feature is the flash hider, its much longer than a conventional m4 flash hider(just over twice as long) but it looks very nice, oh and one last thing, the gun comes with a 190round nam style mag that looks strange at first but realy suits the style of the rifle.

Bad Points

2 bad points(and they are small ones)firstly the gun can take an 8.4mini or a 9.6nunchuck, just make sure you get a good quality one as trying to get the hand grip cover off is a pain(however the grip is rock solid as a result)so just make sure you have a battery good enough to handle at least a full days battle, last bad point(again only a small one)is the flash hider, as good looking as it is it is one piece, so no nice silencers, but hey when it looks this good, who cares.

General Comments

Shooting the gun is a joy, at 2500g its just light enough to be a really pointable gun and the balance is spot on, its plenty accurate(a corn flake box 120ft away can lay testament to that)and the r,o,f,is very good, also with the gun having the metal body it sure makes a nice clatter. and with the gun accepting full size m4/m16 mags there is really no limit as to how you can customize the weapon. So all in all if you are looking for a nam style m4 rifle then this is the one to have (the m16a1 is a nice weapon but wont accept an m203 like the xm177) you wont feel short changed....
