Good Points
As an retired general manager in the motor business selling exotic and prestige cars inc Ferrari, Aston Martin, Jaguar, etc and can confirm that this particular model, (and I have the 2005 4dr. model), is the best all round small car I have driven since a Ferrari 246 Dino. The pinpoint handling and general performance and finish are really superb.

Bad Points
Head lights could be more powerful
The folding down rear seat/headrest design could be made easier.

General Comments
The VW Polo 1.9 PD diesel engine has that unbreakable quality. But the engine with it's 6 speed gear box didn't really loosen up until the car had done about 5000+ mls. It was so tight that it was possible to even stall the car if over geared in traffic even at 20+ mph. But not now!
However I think this idiosyncrasy has brought about all the mediocre road tests that I have read. The test cars were probably just too new.
