I've had this scooter for five years, doing about 1500 miles a year, and it's been very useful and a lot of fun. I like the fact it's a quiet 4-stroke and that I get 115 mpg. Until recently it has been very reliable.
General Comments
Recently, just before its annual service, a whole lot of things needed doing. Most seriously, one of the engine mounting rings had cracked. This only came to light when the bike had been stripped down and could have been a major safety hazard. Welding it up proved tricky but was successful. If this had not been possible the bike would have been a write-off. The clutch was also found to be worn - thanks to this and the engine mount, no wonder a judder was beginning to become evident on take up of the drive, particularly when cold. The speedo cable also failed at this time. Despite the recent problems I am really very fond of this scooter and had no second thoughts in laying out the considerable expense for repair.
