Good Points

The model I purchased was gas double oven. Looks OK, thats about it.


Bad Points

Difficult to know where to start, a lot is bad about this one.


General Comments

This Stoves Newhome SI550DOm gas cooker is completely unusable. The hob burners are not in a logical order i.e. largest burner is at the front. The grill pan metal handle has to be removed when the grill pan is in use as it gets too hot to touch. The oven shelves slide out of their supports very easily and can spill whatever is cooking. But the showstopper is the venting system which continually blows hot-air out from the oven and/or grill through the top of the grill door. The heat is intense; I mean it is INTENSE! I have never come across an appliance that vents its excess heat straight at the operator. It is hard to understand how a company as respected as Stoves could market an appliance that is so unfit for purpose. P.S. I am 52 years old and have worked in the service industry all my life. My advice is do not buy this gas double oven. I don't think it is fit for purpose.
