Good Points

Very controllable speed - none of the mixture ended up on the outside of the bowl - or on me! Easy to use and easy to clean. The motor is more closed in and therefore protected from dust, flour etc.


Bad Points

The mixer feels a lot lighter than its predecessors - a bit "tinny".


General Comments

I have only had the Kenwood KMC501 Chef Premier for a few days and I love it! It is much quieter than my previous Chef and very responsive. The motor seems quite powerful, but also works very well at slow speed. Very easy to keep clean. Nice flexible plastic disc under the bowl is easily removable for cleaning - much better than the metal disc on previous models!
