One very helpful agent - literally, only 1!
- Poor customer service

Imagine finding out less than 24 hours to your flight, that United did not issue your tickets even though you have purchased them in advance. I didn't think there would be any problems because we saw the itinerary on their website. Upon on-line check-in, we found out my boyfriend's tickets were not issued, thus techniquely he had no ticket. Someone we spoke to at customer service assured us that the matter would be resolved that night. Upon waking, we tried to check my boyfriend in again, only to find out they still hadn't fixed the problem. We called customer service again, & after many lengthy holds, finally got the problem resolved, but because of the hassle, I was late for my flight (my boyfriend & I were flying on different flights, so we were on time for his flight, but I missed mine). They did not offer us any apologies, no compensation, nothing! More horrible things happened in between, but one worth mentioning...my luggage came back to me in pieces. I arrived home & thought, well, at least the nightmare with United has come to an end. Boy was I wrong. My luggage did not show up at the airport. When I inquired, they said that it didn't make it on the connecting flight (There was 3 hours in between flights, so I don't really know what happened.) Worst of all, when it showed up at my doorstep, it was in a plastic bag because it had broken into pieces! I was mortified. I called United, only to get a very rude response of "We found it that way." Wow, I can't believe they knew about it, but didn't call me in advance to warn me, apologize or try to explain! Lastly, they refused to take responsibility for the broken bag, saying it arrived at the airport that way, & therefore it is either a fault of my bag's, or Airport Transportation Authority's fault because they handled the bag onto the plane. I will not recommend anyone to fly with this airline.
