General Comments

I have just returned on the Queen Mary 2 from New York with my 18 year old daughter (I'm 46). We worried about the age of the other passengers and yes, they were a lot older. But other than on the first night on board when we encountered the most ignorant and rudest couple ever at our Britannia Restaurant table. Fortunately for us and our other diners this disgusting couple were moved after making a scene and were never seen again throughout the voyage! We had the most fantastic time. We were upgraded to deck 12 from deck 4. Every aspect of this ocean liner (not cruise ship!) is superb.
Everyday you will find something new to do or to explore. I'm glad my daughter was with me because I always lost my way around the ship even though there are diagrams and maps everywhere!
The food was exceptional and with a choice of 10 restaurants even the fussiest eater would find it hard to complain.
All the staff work extremely hard and were always polite.
My daughter and I enjoyed the fact that you had to 'dress up' in the evenings - this made this voyage so special.
I agree with the other review that QM2 needs to maintain the dress code in the evenings, otherwise it will end up like any other cruise ship and we don't want that!
Hope to sail with the QM2 again in the future.
