Good Points
Wonderful story, beautifully acted and shot. You are left wondering which means you have to then watch Manon Des Sources

Bad Points
In French with English subtitles but don't let it put you off. Not such a great film if you don't watch Manon Des Sources soon after. Don't watch Manon Des Sources 1st it will spoil the storyline.

General Comments
Jean de Florette has to be in my top ten films of all time. Have watched at least 20 times and never got bored. There are hints throughout the film about the final twist to the tale which you find out about in Manon Des Sources, the second part to Jean De Florette.
