General Comments

For starters we decided just to share a garlic bread between my partner and myself. Very nice it was too, however the waitress came and took the plate it was served on whilst we were still still eating from our side plates. The same waitress later took my partners empty glass without asking if he would like another drink.
Moving on to the main course; we both ordered Fillet steak, mine cooked medium/rare and my partners medium/well done. The steaks were quite small to say they were £16.50! We were given a plate of vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli and red cabbage) and some new potatoes cut into slices. Unfortunatley they weren't very hot and they were incredibly hard.
My partners steak was cooked perfectly however mine was was by no means medium rare!
It is sadly my nature not to complain, as I don't wish to cause a scene nor sit waiting while an alternative is cooked. At no point while we were eating did anyone come and ask if everything was ok. When we had finished, a member of staff came to clear our plates and asked if the food was OK. At this point, most deflated and disappointeed by my meal I replied that it was not cooked how I asked and the vegetables were rock hard. In response I got a very snappy rude response of 'Well you ate it'.
After this we made a hasty move to pay the bill and leave as we did not wish to stay any longer. To my surprise another waiter with whom we settled the bill, had taken one of the fillet steaks off our bill and apologised profusley. This gesture did go some way in restoring my belief in good customer service, something which I was starting to think some staff at this restaurant knew nothing about!
