The bed and breakfast meals are very tasty. There is so many different foods to choose from and if there are any dietary requirements the staff are happy to help.
The entertainment in the skyline for the younger kids (Barney, Bob the builder) is very good as in the evenings the shows are for an older audience
The standard bed and breakfast rooms are very basic, they are cheaper so it is understandable but there are no locks on the door from the inside, if you child opens the door they can run straight out. This was a big worry while being away on holiday.
The everyday shop is very expensive, it is better to use the Tesco that is 5 minutes drive away from the resort.
I am a premier club customer, I have been going twice a year since 1990. I have always enjoyed the holidays and it has changed so much for the better since I first began going. My children always loved the entertainment and still do 18 years on. I think the only fault with Butlins are the prices and the chalets. Everything used to be free on the site however there are more things that have been added which you have to pay for. For a child to have there face painted the price is £2.50 if you have 3 children this works out very expensive. There are other things you also have to pay for like climbing, go karts, driving school for kids, bouncy castles. I think Butlins should make everything free even if it means adding £10 extra to the price to stay at Butlins at least then you have no extra charges when you arrive. The chalets are ok but some are very dirty and have rude writing scratch all over the doors, this is not nice to look at.
