C580- has all that you really need. Traffic alert is great in the cities. Weather reporting is useful. i like the real-time information display for POI near to you. I like the arrows so you can know which direction to go for POI. Gets you where you want to go very accurately.
Does not give speed read out on the run while navigating to destination. Does not give altitude and longitude info. Stop and Go information in useless as it keeps running until it claps out.
If you compare the Garmin StreetPilot c580 with TomTom GO920, I would select the C580. For the money it has more useful functions. The C580 is compatible with Sprint and can BlueTooth link with my BlackBerry, which the TomTom Go 920 can not, with Sprint. More fun for the money with C580, as I owned both and stuck with the Garmin for its flexibility.
