Ride quality is superb, noise levels are low and I like the looks. It always brings a smile to my face.
Where does all the fuel go? Generally get 38mpg. I have to touch the throttle with a feather and keep letting the reliant robins overtake to get up to 44mpg. This is a 2.0D! How does anyone get near the manufacturers figures?
Not the most reliable car I've ever owned. Airbags failed due to wire rubbing against front bumper mountings. Has a flat spot between 3250rpm and 4000rpm that is often so noticeable you would think you'd lifted your foot off the accelerator. Dealer says there is nothing wrong with it. Then takes another £120 off me. This week it has started dropping into 'limp home' mode. Engine is still sweet as a nut it just appears to be all the other stuff around it that falters. Oh and yes I do have rust under the boot number plate recess like every other Jag. Did I mention that it eats tyres as well? about 10,000 to a front set.
