General Comments

We upgraded our seats with Air 2000 to fly to Goa as we had previously flown there in seats with a pitch 0f 29" (Monarch Airlines), that was absolutely torture, so decided to pay £200+ per person for upgrades. On checking in at Gatwick there was only one Premium Cabin check in desk, we waited for 30 mins to be checked in but there was a problem with the group in front of us so eventually had to check in at an ordinary desk, very disappointing.

In flight outbound the food was good by airline standards, however the premium cabin consisted merely of a curtain that could be drawn across to seperate the two areas, this was never drawn once during the flight. This resulted in everybody from all over the plane stampeding down to the toilets at the front, so you were constantly disturbed by the movements of other passengers queuing for the toilets. Also there were no dedicated cabin staff servicing the premium cabin hence the service received was no better than if you had gone in economy. The seat pitch was good as expected and seat width reasonable. Entertainment was poor with no personal tv screens, just the usual tv screens evenly dispersed around the cabin. The same review can be used as a guide for the return journey, as nothing improved or worsened.

Some of these moans may sound trivial, but at the end of the day my point is that for the extra outlay i.e. £400, we only really benefited by way of bigger seats, every other aspect was a let down to us because we would have received the same had we not upgraded. whether the extra leg room for 11 hours each way was worth the extra money is down to personal preference, i'm not so sure though!

This was the first time we have upgraded our seats on any airline and can safely say that you would probably be better off flying in economy with a scheduled airline than wasting your money upgrading to premium cabin on a charter flight.
