Accurate, decent enough power for short range hunting, interchangeable barrels on MkI & MkII.
Fragile open sights (on MkII & III), welds on trigger mech housing prone to snapping.
Introduced in the early 70s, these were the first of the "modern" Webleys. For it's day the MkI was very racy looking, but was old hat airgun technology in a modern stock. The interchangeable barrel was a big selling point. The MkII was a big improvement and had an adjustable trigger and micrometer adjustable rear sight. It kept the interchangeable barrel feature but with a different removal procedure. The MkII was meant to be a further improvement but really wasn't. Safety catch was repositioned and the interchangeable barrel feature was deleted.
First rifle I ever owned was a Hawk MkII, bought for my 11th birthday in 1976, I still have it.
Don't be tempted to fit a more powerful spring to a Hawk as this will stretch the rear of the cylinder where the pin goes through.
