Tabbed browsing (like IE7, surprise-surprise...)
Uninspiring appearance
Crashes just like the fictional Soviet fighter plane its named after, meaning I've called upon Windows Task Manager so many times it's one of my closest friends...
Windows shut themselves, minimise themselves, act like they are possessed without user intervention
Mozilla Firefox must be the most frustrating piece of software I've used since Ulead Video Studio 9. It should come with a free pack of blood pressure pills, or a wig to replace the hair you rip out in endless frustration by using this software.
I began using Firefox about 12 months ago following recommendations that it would outshine IE7 in terms of functions, reliability etc.
I happily downloaded the product, and initially everything went well. I found myself joining the Mozilla Fan Club and extolling its benefits to everyone I could.
After a few weeks, things began going wrong. Firefox began crashing enough times to be a concern, and was exceptionally slow the rest of the time (disk defragmemter programs could not resolve this, nor regular web cache emptying, nor spyware eradicators). So I returned to IE7 without complaint.
Eventually, I decided to remove Firefox and re-install the whole thing, hoping that my version was simply a "bad apple".
Things this time were even worse. On one brief occasion I committed the unforgivable sin of running two Firefox windows side-by-side, and my computer began running so slowly that Anne Widdecome could outpace it!
So, cometh the Task Manager to save the day. Day after day, after day, after day, and so far every day after that.
So, I will now be heading back to IE7 at speeds to make a Bugatti Veyron jealous. If I don't, I'll die of stress-related illnesses before I reach 30.
