Extremely poor customer service.
I ordered two Short Printed Georgette Kaftans from Ideal World on 15/04/08. The money (£39.98), was taken from my account on the same day, and was told that the item would be with me within 5-7 working days (the usual spiel). On 27/04/08 I contacted Ideal World via email, asking them very politely where my items were. They responded 4 days later with utter gibberish. I replied by asking them to read the original email properly. They responded, this time 5 days later, confirming that the item WAS despatched on 15/04/08, and as I was not in receipt of the items, they would therefore send out a Non Receipt Form. I waited for the form. I then contacted them on 12/05/08 asking where the form was. I also requested that they email over the form for me to fill in, print, and post. Yeah, right. They responded on 15/05/08 (3 days, must be a record), saying that a second form will be sent out 1st class post. On 19/05/08 I again contacted them saying that the postie had been and gone, and still no form. On 22/05/08 they replied saying that a third form will be sent out via 1st class post. Six days later (28/05/08, today) still no form.
Is there no-one else I can contact? It seems that Ideal World Customer Services fob you off in every way possible. They have my money, and I want it back. Their call charges cost a fortune, they keep you on hold for ages, then hang up on you if too many questions are asked (previous experience). Another good technique of theirs, is for them to say 'please hold while I transfer you to someone who can deal with your query'. Excuse me? That's why I called you in the first place, for YOU to deal with my query. You're put on hold for about 10 minutes, then surprise surprise, you're cut off.
