As an HGV driver (and a Nectar points collector !), I regularly find, in urban areas, BP diesel pumps "not in use" and invariably, the ones available are not accessible for large vehicles.
On motorways, it's not so bad except for South Mimms services on the M25 which is a disgrace. You often have to queue for ages. they have numerous HGV diesel pumps there with a good debit but generally only 1 cashier working... hopeless.
On the Heston Svcs (M4/Greater London area), the debit on the HGV pumps is a joke, I can pee with more debit than they have on these pumps!
Having said that, there is a good "small" one on the A40 in Denham where I stop now & then as although there is no HGV specific pump, you can take on in excess of 100 L without the pump cutting out and they don't seem to have supply problems. The staff there is also friendly which is a definite bonus.
