It's indoors. Very indoors. It's next to a shopping centre where you can buy Cadbury mishapes. It will get rid of any stupid idea you might have had to waste time trying to read Dickens.
No warning for migraine or epilepsy sufferers about flashing lights on the boat ride. Dreadful time-wasting queues. Neither educational not entertaining in any way. Not much variety or progression to different areas or spaces in the experience.
A desultory waste of a wet Bank Holiday. At the end of the day I think it's just a mediocre, over-priced theme pub with the added joy of excessive tedious queuing in claustrophobia-enducing spaces. Should have given up as tempted during the unacceptable queue to get in with only one member of staff on the till. Nasty to see 21st century litter among the papier mache 19th century rats along the dreary boat ride. Incoherent, dull and fantastically unentertaining animatronic show which actually reduced my desire ever to go near a Dickens novel again while failing to provide any useful pub-quiz level educational value. The best part was finally finding the exit doors, but only to find a bleak return to the contemporary world in a failing, down market shop full of uninspiring tat. Just don't go. Sit your kids in the play area of some roadside chain pub and occasionally read them Dickens quotes in stupid voices as you cram them with crisps. Vaguely splash them with some water and then try to sell them a bad photo of themselves.
