This bench isn't recommended 4 a beginner. Good all round and easy bench 2 use. With the right attachments you get all the benefits of a gym workout. I just dont think the cable system is too crash hot, all the cables fit centrally which is great but the more exercises you try to do the cables become loose and in one instance fell off and dropped 120lbs crashin to the floor.
