I believe I was able to receive calls with the Global Sim chip. At least I received about 4 calls over 3 1/2 weeks.
After two calls for Service, I was able to make only two calls, one of them to GO-Sim in 3 1/2 weeks in four countries: Romania, Greece, Turkey and Italy.
I am not either an employee or former employee but just a customer who paid $100 for a GO SIM Global chip that only worked to receive calls even after two attempts to get better service from their office staff. The staff were very nice but could not really solve the problem. This SIM chip is complicated to use to make a call. It is a techie product, that didn't work well for me.
I was able to make one call to USA from Greece and another to UK to GoSim customer service but that was it. I tried many times to make calls without any connections. At first I didn't quite grasp the complexity of their system. When a call is make you are calling a computer which makes the call for you then calls you back within (they say 10-15 seconds) up to 60 seconds later. When you answer you must wait for up to a minute or so before I would get one of the following responses: 1] Call Connected, then immediately Call Ended 2] System Failure or 3] Nothing. Very frustrating under normal circumstances but in an emergency "worthless" for me personally. I could not recommend this product nor would I use their services again.
