I live within a hour of alton towers so it's easy to reach. You never seem to wait long to get into park.
Quite expensive when you get into the parks amusements souvenir shops after most rides. Food and drink nightmare.
Had a wonderful day at Alton Towers but think there needs to be more rides for older children. My daughter loves rides, however she found the small ones boring but rita, oblivion type would terrify her. Great day but take a picnic. Mcdonalds is wonderful to feed the kids. Tie a ribbon or something on your car as finding it can be a total nightmare. Plus put on comfy shoes as there's tons and tons of walking (or cheat by using cable cars).
