Good Points
Looks great, good driving position, good stereo, excellent dealer back-up, lots of space inside, groovy dashboard, £35 for 12 months tax! Good fuel economy, Toyota reliability.
Bad Points
Noisy rough engine, can be sluggish expecially with the air-con on, feels a little flimsy in places, dashboard too shiny in sunny weather, uncomfortable on long journeys.
General Comments
I've had my Toyota Aygo 1.0 Black now for about a year and a half, and overall im very pleased with it. It's definately one of the better city cars out there. However don't expect it to do anymore than you'd expect a city car to do. If you want cheap, stylish wheels to get you from A-B everyday with the occasional short motorway trip then you'll love the Aygo, but if you're looking for a smooth, comfy motorway cruiser it isn't for you.
It'll seat 4 fairly comfortably and theres plenty of legroom, but it does sacrifice boot space for cabin room. The dashboard is well designed and its a pleasure to be in. To look at the Aygo is sooo cute!
My main issue with it is the engine, which although nippy off the mark and good on fuel, is VERY gruff and can feel sluggish wen its legs are stretched. The cabin is very noisy compared to other small cars i've driven such as the Fiat Panda. The noise of the little 3 cylinder engine is always present and can be annoying sometimes especially on the motorway. It'll sit quite happily at 70-80, 90 is pushing it and it doesn't like 100 but it will do the magic ton and a little bit more if you push it hard enough.
Luxuries like interior lights that come on when you open the passenger door or a light in the boot are non existent, however mine has got aircon and alloys which is nice and the stereo's great.
Handling is fun and the steering is nicely weighted but it does lose grip very quickly on its titchy tires.
Overall it's a great little city car that i'd recommend to anyone looking for cheap, cute, easy to drive wheels.
