Looks cool, good manufacturers back up, good performance on certain carpets.
Noisy, badly designed, difficult and very cumbersome to use, heavy, regardless to what the adverts say it DOES lose suction if the filters aren't cleaned weekly, overheats and cuts out if used for too long, dirt goes everywhere when you empty it.
I've tried a few different dyson models and none of them have been great. Firstly, I don't think the adverts are always clear as the Dyson relies heavily on filters and if these filters aren't cleaned regularly, you can expect a loss of suction, overheating and cutting out and in really bad situations spectacular motor burnouts.
Overall the DC14 was 'ok' it performed well on shorter carpets and hard floors but was impossible to push on thick pile ones, the tools are every difficult and cumbersome to use because the vacuum itself kept falling over and the noise is deafening.
I'll be sticking with my 18 year old Henry for now me thinks!
