After a year or so of absolutely fine service, then suddenly decided to hike my interest rate up from 14.9% to 26.4% over a period of six months. When I complained, I was told that the interest rates were at the discretion of Virgin, and could not be changed.
Considering that new customers are being drawn in with a rate of 15.9%, with 0% on balance transfers and purchases as an introductory offer, I'm disgusted at how they treat customers who've been with them for a lot longer. I'm now transferring my balance over to another card with a 0% for 15 months offer, and will be closing down the Virgin account as soon as the transfer is complete.
