Robust, waterproof, solid construction. Colour screen, night-time illumination. Spoken instructions. Suitable for motorcycle use.
It's an old (discontinued) model, is bulky and uses odd, expensive memory-sticks (128Mb max at around £70).
Discontinued, but the Garmin StreetPilot 3 is still functional, mapsource software & data updates still available. 128mb memory will not cover whole of UK in detail, but is not a particular problem. Suits motorcycle use, and would suit a slightly more 'techie' or nerdy person - the features are mostly there, they just need to be found and configured. Can be picked up cheaply (around £80 for complete set).
