General Comments

Very poor service and conduct of business! On this flight they wanted to start charging for sporting equipment essentially penalizing primarily travellers who come and support the tourism industry of Malaysia.
Plus while flying Air Asia the previous month and on a separate journey an acquaintance took, we were both allowed to combine our partners' check in baggage into one bag but divide the weight between two (something I've done several times on other airlines as well. On this occasion they deemed this to be excess baggage and charged accordingly. Also in a previous journey, and on advice from an Air Asia representative, I showed my scuba diving card and was told I would be allowed 20kg of luggage. This time I was told the limit was 15 and thus had to pay the excess.
And on a previous flight to Tawau, once on the plane the passengers were told they were not allowed to consume their own food and drink on the plane.
The staff themselves, with particular reference to the air hostesses acted as if we the passengers were an inconvenience to them.
After extra charges and for all the additional stress the lower cost is not worth it as compared to other budget airlines and I will do my best not to personally travel by Air Asia anymore. Just because they are a budget airline doesn't mean they have to behave so unprofessionally as compared to other regional budget airlines.
