It is a fine, well engineered rifle in nearly every respect.
You would expect much better customer service when buying a $1500 rifle. If you buy one, I hope you never need parts or service.
A very accurate out-of-the-box rifle. I bought the grey wolf (stainless w/ laminate stock) and killed an elk, two antelope and two deer the first season I hunted with it. It functioned flawlessly.
On another note, customer service is friendly, but not very helpful, and elusive. In 17 months of trying, I cannot get a spare magazine for my Sako 85. Customer service has given me five dates on five occasions since Jan. '07 when they would be available, and been wrong every time. Letters and phone calls to upper management have been not been responded to.
