Unprofessional staff
I have made 3 calls to First Choice this month (May 08) and all them have left me astounded at the ineptitude of their staff. The first time I called I asked a few standard questions about what the rating of the hotel would be, as it wasn't quoted on their website. The lady put me on hold for 5 minutes then told me she would phone me back. She never did. When we rung up again to book the holiday we were transferred to 5 different agents and was on hold during for about 10 minutes. I was quoted the price but told that they needed my passport number before they could book the holiday but that they would reserve it until I could get home after work and phone back with my passport number. When I phoned in the evening I was put on hold for a total of 30 minutes (the call lasted 45 minutes) only to find out they didn't need my passport number and that during the time it took for me to reserve the holiday and drive home to get my passport, the price had increased by £300 per person. I have never experienced such appalling service, lack of empathy with the customer or basic communication skills when phoning a company. How they manage to stay in business is beyond me!
